“Librarians are expected to be experts in organizing and ensuring proper classification and placement of library materials for easy access and retrieval. In the same way, librarians must also be provided with essential information about proper buying and storing food.”

This was highlighted in the welcome remarks of Dr. Imelda Angeles-Agdeppa, DOST-FNRI Director IV and Scientist II and Nutrition Research Information Network (NUTRINET) Governing Board Chair, during the NUTRINET Zoominar#1 on “Food Buying and Storing: Tips or Tricks?” on September 30, 2021.

The Nutrition Research Information Network (NUTRINET) conducted a forum via Zoom on Expanding Information Resource Sharing through Network Collaboration in celebration of its 34th anniversary on July 30, 2021.

The forum introduced the Network to prospective members for building additional alliances and partnerships with institutions who share similar goals and objectives in information resources sharing.

The Nutrition Research Information Network (NUTRINET) conducted its first-ever online seminar in partnership with Medical and Health Librarians Association of the Philippines, Inc. (MAHLAP) with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points for librarians. The NUTRINET Online Seminar on 5S and Food Safety during the New Normal was held on May 20, 2021.
